You need to manage/ regulate your hormones in your body. This combined with proper nutrition, appropriate workout regime and sufficient sleep will give you the results.

Regarding hormones, you need to have very high testosterone level for protien synthesis, muscle building, fast recovery. Thyroid level should be normal, Cortisol should be in check and estrogen should be blocked to keep the body fat percentage to single digit. Insulin should be high around your weight lifting period and low around the cardio sessions. HGH should be released by the body to keep you looking younger.

You win half the battle if you keep your hormones in check. Otherwise, it's like taking a knife to a gunfight.

Other things are simple and is the blueprint for bodybuilders...
1. Lift weights with some cardio.
2. High protein with complex carb and healthy fats.
3. About 8 hours of sleep.

Basically, this is it. If you have the hormone levels closer to a body builder's, it is very easy to achieve your dream body.

Also, bringing changes to your hormonal levels NATURALLY is very difficult unless you are in your teens. It becomes more and more tougher as you age away from your teens.

Stuffs like hardwork, dedication, perfectionism are all pop cultural pretence.
