Neck Muscular Pain

I used to have upper back pain due to study.
But since last one month it is getting severe.
I cant sleep properly.
I showed it to many local doctors which mainly recommended pain killers
Like diclogesic anti inflammation tablets.
I am using muscle spray n ice packs but it is having temporary relief only.

Myospaz forte is the only tablet which had good effect on me.

Anybody having same problems.
Do give your advice.

Get yourself checked for "cervical spondylosis". Fairly common among people with bad posture.

If you are young, then you don't need any medicines for it. Just some simple exercises can fix the issue.

But ask your godforsaken doctor for the name of the condition. How can you take medications without knowing the real cause?

Well doctor said its common muscular pain after checking x ray..but the problem is it is not getting better even after one month.

Change your posture. Do some yoga. Sleep well.

Are u in Mumbai...if yes, i will recommend a good yoga place that takes care of this stuff... Dont do yoga by yourself or looking at YT videeos or under quack yoga teachers...it can create problems...

The doc should hv told u about postures...though he is correct abt the diagnosis since he has seen the xray etc...

Nevertheless, try the exercises for cervical spondilosys. They hardly take 5~mins. They are not harmful even if you do it without this issue.

If you are young, then you can control it in just 2 days, by doing relevant exercises 3 times a day. Your neck and shoulder muscles are getting weaker. Don't take those painkillers as they'll harm you in the long run. And they are pretty useless to fix weak muscles anyway.

Search on *y o u t u b e*. You'll find that these exercises overlap with yoga.

Agreed. Painkillers are to be avoided. Bad for health and well being.

I suggest yoga that involves slow movement and stretching of muscles to relieve tension. Don't overdo it. Always remember that pain is your body telling you something is going wrong.

I do have bad posture i think
Plus being computer engineer n spending so much time on study mobile computer doesn't really help

  • electric vibrator massager to loosen the muscles,..
  • Ukeliptamint oil ( Neelgiri ka tel ) and rub 3-4 times a day..
  • I unbearable cases good pain-kilers like,.. Advil / Motrin / Tylenol heavy capsule – Don’t get used to it, take in rare and unbearable time,..
  • Yoga, exercise nad god sleep and sleeping on habit s( on which side ) ask doctor’s advise,.
  • garam pani ki theli / shek ( a hot bearable cloth on hot tava ) with a shot as you can bear,..
  • pain ointments / rub on sticks,..made of Ukeliptament stuff,.. such as,…Max-Freeze, stoppain cold, Eukeliptamint ointment,… – massage it,..
