First off, make your mind. What you wanna do? Website design and development OR website business. They're 2 different things.

Anyways, it started few years ago.
1st thing i learnt was HTML
then CSS not CCS

I started creating static web pages. With no functionality.
Then i heard about WORDPRESS. It's in PHP and i fell in love with it.

And am still making sites on WordPress.

So if your getting started, just go for HTML then CSS >> JavaScript >> PHP

What is background-position: center center;

It's your code that make problems, Check 'em twice. Use designing software.

this i did from a tutorial website (other site link not allowed) there they have given two ways of doing it either this or just '50% 50%'
also not only this, but right top, left bottom also did not work properly,

ok i have Open element (WYSIWYIG), webpage maker (WYSIWYG), i have used almost every WYSIWYG editor present on internet, except Dreamweaver (its pirated and dont understand how to work in it), tell me which one is best, where i get almost every element and i can edit the code too.

For tutorial website i suggest using W3Schools. And the software is Dreamweaver.
You should try Macromedia dreamweaver not the adobe one.

It is much more newbie friendly then the adobe one.

They are there to make your life easier but they're not upto the mark. I mean WYSIWYG editor stand no where to Dreamweaver. I don't know what editor your using right now but believe me it worth the hard work.

I'm suggesting it, because i know you wanna be a developer and a great developer must know how to code.
