for 1080p content 21.5 inch to 24 inch is the ideal resolution and anything over this make video blurry and soft especially if the content is 720p and below. anyway in my opinion 21.5 inch is the perfect size for monitor purpose considering various resolution contents like 480p, 720p and 1080p.

monitors are available in more inches too like 27/32/34 inch etc but it will straining to eyes and also if the content is mostly 1080p and lower it will be of no use. for giving an idea consider a 144p video playing in a 24 inch or above screen and see how stretched and blurry it looks while if that same 144p video is played in a small mobile screen it look OK. so when consider buying bigger screen monitor, TV etc always keep in mind the resolution of contents going to play on it.

Get a tv and use as a monitor. Most tvs comes with a vga port or you may use an hdmi port if your mobo or gpu has it.

50 inches televisions are available for less than 30k

Use a quality vga cable that supports 1080p resolution, you will not face frame skip issues.

No, it won't lag. But you may find the screen quality little inferior (mostly unnoticable). If the screen is TN and not IPS.

And also you need to adjust fonts to your viewing preferences

It is near perfect to use a tv as a monitor for seldom/occasional gamers. But loves bigger screen.
